IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno and journalist Andrés Oppenheimer will meet to discuss the importance of education for the region’s nations
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) invites you to a dialogue about education in Latin America between IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno and Andres Oppenheimer, author of ”Enough Stories” (Basta de Historias).
Oppenheimer will deliver a presentation on the themes of “Enough Stories,” which outlines the crisis of education in Latin America and the Caribbean and looks to the experience of countries in other parts of the world that have achieved dramatic improvements in education, science, technology and innovation. After the presentation, Oppenheimer will join President Moreno for a discussion of the future of education reform and how it could impact Latin America and the Caribbean societies.
During the second part of the event, Marcelo Cabrol, Chief of the IDB’s Education Division, will join Oppenheimer for a discussion of education trends in Latin America and ways to further improve the educational system in the region.
The event is open to the public and the press.
