Colombian Finance Minister and IDB President to Open Meeting of Finance Ministers of the Americas and the Caribbean

Colombian Minister of Finance Mauricio Cárdenas will chair the Sixth Meeting of Finance Ministers of the Americas and the Caribbean at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on Oct. 8. 

Minister Cárdenas and IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno will deliver opening remarks on maintaining stability and social progress in an uncertain macroeconomic environment and on forging greater regional integration. Their remarks will be open to registered members of the media. 

The proceedings of the remainder of the meeting will be closed to the public. However, at 12:45 p.m. Minister Cárdenas will hold a news conference, also at the IDB, to share the results of the meeting.
