Book presentation: Better Pensions, Better Jobs

What is the current state of pension coverage in Latin America and the Caribbean? How can governments provide quality pensions for all? “Better Pensions, Better Jobs”, a new publication of the Labor Markets and Social Security Unit at the Inter-American Development Bank, provides answers to these questions by addressing the need to fight against poverty during the elder years and increase formal employment and productivity.

Guest speakers include Luis Alberto Moreno, President of the IDB; Santiago Levy, Vice-President for Sectors and Knowledge at the IDB; Juan Carlos Echeverry, IDB Executive Director for Colombia and Peru; as well as leading experts Orazio Attanasio (UCL London), Solange Berstein (Superintendent of Pensions, Chile) and Stephen Kay (Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta).
