HUI is a regional platform for comparative analysis that integrates, organizes and disseminates key information on housing, urban development and territorial systems in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its main purpose is to strengthen strategic decision-making through access to comparable, updated and harmonized data.

Developed by the IDB’s Urban Development and Housing Sector, in strategic partnership with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL), the platform consolidates more than 3,000 indicators from official sources, and international organizations. key urban indicators to drive more effective and inclusive housing and urban policies. This enables multidimensional and continuous monitoring of the sector, facilitating accurate diagnoses of structural gaps, institutional performance, regulatory frameworks and financing mechanisms.
