Manager, Knowledge, Innovation and Communication Sector

 

Juliano Seabra, a Brazilian citizen, is Manager of the Knowledge, Innovation and Communication Sector of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) since May 2023. Previously, he served as Chief of the Innovation and Creativity Division at IDB, leading an internal innovation studio that is unique among multilateral development banks. 

Before joining the IDB in 2019, Juliano had a successful career working at the intersections of public, private and non-profit organizations with a strong track record of improving impact. 

Between 2018 and 2019, he was the Director of Innovation and New Business at TOTVS, the largest software company in the southern hemisphere, where he led the repositioning of Idexo, a pioneering initiative to foster innovation between startups and corporations. During the same period, Juliano was a Board Member of Brain – the innovation laboratory of Algar Telecom.

From 2009 to 2018, Juliano held multiple leadership positions at Endeavor Brazil, the biggest affiliate of the global non-profit that fosters high-impact entrepreneurship. During his tenure as Managing Director from 2013 to 2018, Endeavor expanded its impact in Brazil on entrepreneurship education, digital and media outreach, research and advocacy, reaching millions and helping shape the country’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. 

In the past, Juliano worked as Executive Director at Prospectiva Consulting and led the creation of Senac’s entrepreneurship center, which fosters entrepreneurship as a career option for students in the State of São Paulo.

Juliano holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Government from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo.
