Caroline Leclerc is a graduate of the University of Ottawa École de Droit civil. She joined the Canadian federal public service in 1995 and has served in several positions as a senior official in Global Affairs Canada. Notably, she has been Director General of Strategic Planning, Head of Development Evaluation, Director General of Food Security and Environment, and Assistant Deputy Minister of Partnerships for Development Innovation. Her experience spans the development policy and programming spectrum, with a marked interest for innovation, development finance, addressing climate change and safeguarding the environment, and achieving equality for all.
In 2022 she took on the role of Canada’s Executive Director at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington.
