Risk Management in the Irrigation Sub-sector

To analyze the feasibility of introducing new risk management instrumentos in the irrigation subsector in Mexico. The introduction of new insurance instruments and the development of water markets are considered to reduce the risk level for investments in the subsector, facilitating the access to financial markets. On the other hand, the instruments that will be developed will potentially be used in other Latin American countries that have already ongoing irrigation management transfer processes.
