Institutional Strengthening of the AMC Savings and Loan Cooperative

Funding from MIF for the proposed project will enable AMC to expand its financial services in an orderly fashion while limiting the risks inherent in growing rapidly and launching new products. The transformation of AMC into a regulated financial institution, which will take place with support from this project, might also enable it to bring in new shareholders, expand its coverage nationwide, and attain levels of efficiency and profitability consistent with best practices in Latin America.
