Facilitate the member countries' negotiation processes by means of the following specific objectives: updating of the information available on preferential tariffs to the national tariff nomenclatures and to the new harmonized system that will enter into effect in Jaunuary, 2002; collaborate with the countries in the improvement of the processing, quality and coverage of the basic external trade information.
