Support for the Design, Implementation and Management of Trade Policy
The specific objectives are (a) to give Suriname the tools for defining its trade policy goals and guiding the activities necessary for achieving those goals, through the development of a national trade strategy; and (b) to raise awareness, improve capacity and establish a basic institutional infrastructure in the area of technical standards, in preparation for the establishment and subsequent operation of a full-fledged national standards bureau.
