The specific objectives are to: (i) improve the current conditions, efficiency and sustainability of existing airstrips used to provide essential air transport services to remote areas; (ii) modernize, by updating the current legislation, Suriname's air transport sector's regulations and management and laying the foundations for the sector to become self-sustainable.
