Conceptual Framework for the inclusive and sustainable development of amazon territory - Part 2
This Technical Cooperation (TC) specifically, it will characterize development gaps across aspects such as social, economic, demographic, infrastructure, productivity, production, human capital, and environmental protection actions in Brazil, Suriname and Guyana, linking them to those identified in the AAR. The TC will also build on the original AAR territorial framework by analyzing specific case studies in the Amazon, as a first step to develop comprehensive investment plans in different regions of the continent, which will be identified with operational teams with the Department of Andean Countries and the Amazon Unit at the IDB. This TC is aligned with the Second update to the Institutional Strategy (AB-3190-2) in its efforts to address climate change and environmental sustainability, and to preserve and continue to advance development gains (social exclusion and inequality; low productivity and innovation; and limited economic integration) in the region. Likewise, this TC is in accordance with the objectives of the bank's program, "Amazonia Forever" prioritizing social inclusion and equality; productivity and innovation; and regional economic integration across Latin America and the Caribbean.
