Capacity Building for Transparency and Public and Private Integrity Standards
To support IDB member countries in their efforts to promote transparency and integrity in the public and private sectors through the promotion and implementation of integrity and corporate governance standards. Its specific objectives are: (i) to contribute to the design and implementation of integrity, transparency and open government policies in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), by strengthening transparency and integrity policies through the adoption of regulatory frameworks in accordance with international standards and promoting citizen participation and control through the design and implementation of open government policies, including digital tools; and (ii) to support the adoption of systematic integrity mechanisms for public-private and financial relations, including corporate governance mechanisms and codes of conduct, following international standards and best practices.
