Sustainable Development and Integration of Border Regions in the Amazon biome
The general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to develop and systematize an intervention model based on the concept of cluster or border territory. The clusters define strategic geographic territories where there are population settlements and activities with similar needs and deficiencies. The activities carried out within the framework of this TC will focus mainly on a first cluster of the triple border between Brazil, Colombia and Peru with three specific objectives: (i) Obtain a precise contextualization and characterization of the cluster (geographical, ecological, social, economic and functional) that allows to identify and take advantage of its challenges and opportunities from a local reality; (ii) Contribute to a more efficient institutional approach for this type of cluster and its border context; (iii) Support pilot or catalytic initiatives such as cross-border sustainable development opportunities and; (iv) Establish institutional mechanisms for planning and monitoring the use of territory and conservation of the biome in the area of ​​influence of the clusters.
