The objective of this BPR is to support LAC cities to strengthen their capacities for innovation and experimentation to address common urban challenges in general, and challenges related to climate resilience. To this end, we propose to create an information and experience exchange platform at the service of a network of innovators/city laboratories. Specifically, and in line with the objective of mitigation and adaptation to Climate Change of the 2025 vision, this BPR aims to: (i) support local governments to create or strengthen innovation units or urban laboratories, through the exchange of experiences and tools (legal, technical, methodological) among peers, as well as the co-creation of solutions to common challenges between countries, and (ii) encourage experimentation and piloting of solutions that allow increasing resilience to CC and productivity. The project will promote a mindset of experimentation and tolerance for failure, and will develop peer-to-peer skills of local public administrations to replicate and scale successful pilot projects and lessons learned.
