Transparency and Information Management in the Development of the Extractive Industry - PHASE II
The objective of this TC is to increase the institutional capacity of the borrowing member countries of the IDB to promote and implement public policies and transparency tools in the extractive sector. To this end, the TC aims to: i) generate capacities to manage information in the extractive sector in an efficient, effective and transparent manner, both at the national and subnational levels of government; ii) support the knowledge that leads to the implementation of transparency initiatives in selected member countries, particularly the EITI Initiative; and iii) deepen knowledge and disseminate lessons learned and best practices on information management and transparency of the extractive sector in the region. These activities would find all the borrowing countries of the Bank as beneficiaries, with the specific countries that have shown interest: Peru, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
