A Comprehensive Assessment of Transboundary Conservation Opportunities in LAC
ProNatura is aware of the many important steps that have already been taken to promote transboundary conservation actions in Latin America and the Caribbean, and it is our intention to support and build on this work. However, there is much more that needs to be done to elevate the prominence of this work and ensure that it successfully balances local and regional economic needs with conservation opportunities. We feel that all international, national and local organizations and government agencies will benefit from a coherent Peace Park planning strategy in which ProNatura works with collaborating partner institutions to facilitate a process to determine the infrastructure, information, and actions that can be applied to support the Peace park approach.
