A Risk-Based Framework for Macro-Prudential Supervision and Systemic Macro-Finan

The overall objective of the proposed KCP is to support the ability of the CNBV to safeguard financial stability in Mexico through the instrumentation of a quantitative methodological framework for assessing risk of individual institutions and of the financial system as a whole. The specific objectives are to develop a new generation of macroprudential risk analytical tools in the context of the Mexican financial system, strengthen the IDB¿s understanding of such methodologies, and to disseminate their use among other financial sector regulatory and supervisory bodies in the Region.
