Salud Facil: Bringing Medical Technology to Vulnerable Populations
The objective of the project is to facilitate the access of small and medium-sized clinics to technology and medical equipment, so that they can better serve their patients from vulnerable segments of the population. The purpose of the project is to offer small and medium-sized private clinics financing, via leasing, for the purchase of medical equipment and technology. The project will provide financing to Salud Fácil, a non-bank entity that provides leasing services with a commercial strategy that has an important focus on clinics whose patients are from the medium and low socioeconomic level (C- and D). The equipment that clinics will be able to purchase includes ultrasound, X-ray, CT scanners, mammograms, and MRI equipment, which are used to diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions and diseases, for diverse age and gender populations, including problems during pregnancy, cancers, cardiovascular and coronary diseases among others.
