Microcredit Expansion for Low Income Women in Mexico's Central Region

The project's general objective is to improve the socioeconomic conditions of low-income women and their families living in rural and urban fringe communities of the states of Mexico's central region, by making it easier for them to obtain microfinance services. The speicific objectives are: (i) to expand the financial services provided to women microentrepreneurs in the communities where PMM operates and to extend these services to new, currently unserved rural and urban fringe communities in the central region; to (ii) strenghten PMM's institutional capacity and financial position, so that it can provide sustainable financial services to its clients, low-income women microentrepreneurs.
