Decarbonization of ENEE and Support for Financial Sustainability

The general objective of the POIP is to support the diversification of the electricity generation matrix and the improvement of the financial sustainability of the electricity sector in Honduras through the integration of PV energy solutions and the incorporation of storage systems. The specific objectives are: (i) increase the generation capacity of non-conventional renewable energy; (ii) reduce technical losses and improve the reliability of the electricity supply; (iii) improve the company's financial performance indicators (iv) strengthen local capabilities; and (v) evaluate the renewable resource for the expansion of the sector.
