Guyana Climate Resilient Water Infrastructure Improvement Program
The general objective of this operation is to improve quality, reliability and environmental sustainability of potable water services contributing towards achieving SDG 6.1 using climate resilient strategies encompassing both mitigation and adaptation measures. The specific objectives are to: (i) improve access to potable water services, compliant with WHO standards through new water infrastructure; (ii) reduce water losses; (iii) reduce abstraction from ground water aquifers (energy efficiency); (iv) Improve management capabilities of Guyana Water Inc. (increased operation efficiency).
