The general objective is to promote resilience to climate change by supporting Guatemala's commitments under its Nationally Determined Contribution. The specific objectives are: (i) Provide technical assistance to the Government of Guatemala and relevant local organizations to access climate finance that allows the implementation of sustainable agricultural activities (monitoring and reporting activities on emission reductions); (ii) Finance initiatives of local private sector organizations that allow small farmers to access credit and inclusive financial services to improve productivity and trade in fair and competitive markets; and (iii) Align the IDB's operational agenda with Guatemala's Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), to enable the application of climate considerations in operations in the agroforestry sector.
