Supporting State-Owned Enterprises Reform in Ecuador
To assist the reform of the State Own Enterprises (SOEs) that will be reflected in an increase in the number of SOEs aligned with the OECD principles of corporate governance and supporting the objectives of macroeconomic and fiscal stabilization of the Ecuador' Government, in particular the cost optimization reforms incorporated into the Productive Development Law and the Prosperity Plan 2018-2021. The specific objectives are: (i) to align corporate governance with the best international practices; (ii) to strengthen the fiscal regime of the SOEs to increase its efficiency; (iii) to support the design and implementation of a public information campaign on the reform of the SOEs.; and (iv) to support improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of social spending.
