Smart City in a Box: Promoting Better Cities through Technology
This project seeks to comprehensively address these challenges by supporting the development of innovative world-class software and hardware solutions in Temuco that take advantage of the business and access opportunities offered by Smart Cities.1 The idea is thus to train specialized workers and generate opportunities for entrepreneurship and innovation for both established businesses and entrepreneurs, all underpinned by an open IT platform that will manage and provide information on the city, thereby fostering the technological integration of the solutions developed without requiring the city to make major investments. These efforts are designed to be replicated by the IDB Group in other cities in the region.
