Connecting Chile: Access to Affordable IT for Low-income Urban Households

The objective of the TC is to support the implementation of an Internet connectivity program in low income urban neighborhoods in Chile by: (i) strengthening and improving existing systems of community organization and developing local networks of ¿promotores¿ that would serve to support marketing, collection and training programs in the communities; (ii) supporting financial literacy programs and initiatives that would serve to reduce the risk of overedebtness of participating families; and (iii) contributing to the dissemination and replication of the program in other areas of Chile and countries in the region.
