The project's main objective is to enhance the positive effects of replacing the burning of the straw for mechanized harvest and minimize the social impacts of the reduction in the number of cane cutters in the State of São Paulo, that will result from this substitution, through a program of training (called RenovAção) and retraining of these workers.
