Biobahia Bio-oil

The main objective of this Technical Cooperation TC is to evaluate the feasibility of implementing an integrated sunflower bio-oil production facility and the replacement of sunflower with jatropha curcas over time, as primary feedstock for the Project. The Project will be located in the area of the Barra, Province of Bahia, Brazil. The specific objectives of this TC are realized in two phases, and include the completion of the following studies: (i) Legal advisory over land rights and associated liabilities; (ii) Agriculture consulting and feasibility study; (iii) Environmental and industrial licenses and water concession; (iv) Jatropha and sunflower pilot testing; (v) Logistics assessment; (vi) engineering plan.
