Rural Electrification Master Plan
The objective of the present proposed project is to develop a National Master Plan for the PLABER, considering both grid-connected and off-grid solutions, covering technical, economical, financial, institutional, environmental and regulatory issues relevant to the process of increasing the rural electricity coverage nationwide in a sustainable way. Specific objectives are: 1. Identification of demand; 2. Development of electrification models appropriate for Bolivia's geology & geography and the availability of energy sources (e.g. natural gas); 3. Development of an implementation strategy (considering the cooperation of other memebers of the international community, e.g. CAF) .
