Governors Embrace Vision, Priorities and Plans for the IDB Group

Ilan Goldfajn Elected IDB President

Ilan Goldfajn was elected president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) today during a Special Meeting of the Bank’s Board of Governors. The meeting was held at IDB Headquarters in Washington, D.C., with delegations attending virtually and in person.
Nominated by Brazil, Goldfajn will take office for a five-year term on December 19, 2022.

IDB Governors can nominate candidates within the next 45 days.
