Ecuador to promote sustainable and inclusive employment with IDB support

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved a $250 million loan to support economic recovery in Ecuador, focusing on strengthening the social protection system, female employment, and labor sectors linked to environmental objectives, also called "green jobs." Supporting the equal integration of women in the economy is one of the operation's priorities. The project will implement an Action Plan to increase female labor participation, reduce the salary gap, and promote female leadership in the country.

Chile will advance its competitiveness by promoting sustainable and inclusive growth with help from two loans totaling $400 million approved by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). A $100 million programmatic policy-based loan (PBP) and a $300 million results-based loan (PBR) will finance a program to speed up the digital transformation of public services and digital connectivity.  

Uruguay to Stimulate Economic Recovery with $145 Million IDB Loan

Uruguay will spur its post-pandemic economic and fiscal recovery with help from a $145 million loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). This is the second operation in a series of policy-based loans, made up of two contractually independent but technically linked loans aimed at supporting Uruguay’s post-pandemic recovery. The first operation of $350 million was approved in 2020.
