Deadline for accepting proposals for Regional Public goods is April 15, 2020 On  February 14, 2020, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will launch the 2020 Call for Proposals for the Regional Public Goods (RPG) Initiative in Latin America and the Caribbean, which supports projects involving three or more countries.

Loans of up to $125 million to expand access to credit for green projects The IDB approved a Green Line Partnership with Banco Pine S.A. in Brazil to expand access to financing for environmentally sustainable projects, particularly biofuels and renewable energy projects. The IDB will provide an unsecured A/B loan of approximately $125 million to Banco Pine for working capital and long-term loans in these sectors, and to finance capital expenditures.

Barbados, IDB sign US$45 million loan to support sustainable energy framework

The Hon. Christopher Peter Sinckler, M.P., Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of Barbados, and Inter-American Development Bank President, Luis Alberto Moreno, signed today financing for US$46 million to support a sustainable energy framework for Barbados. The financing consists of a US$45 million loan from the IDB’s ordinary capital resources and a US$1 million grant from the Global Environment Facility.
