Deadline for accepting proposals for Regional Public goods is April 15, 2020 On February 14, 2020, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will launch the 2020 Call for Proposals for the Regional Public Goods (RPG) Initiative in Latin America and the Caribbean, which supports projects involving three or more countries.

The deadline for accepting proposals is April 26th, 2017 The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) launched the 2017 Call for Proposals of the Initiative for the Promotion of Regional Public Goods in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), which supports projects aimed at resolving shared challenges and seizing opportunities for development through regional cooperation among at least three countries. Since 2004, the RPG Initiative has financed 140 projects, investing a total of more than US$103 million.
Five states and provinces from Latin America to receive IDB prize for innovative government practices

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will on Jan. 15 award the GobernArte Prize for the most innovative government programs to five states and provinces from Latin America, in the smart government and the citizen security categories. The winners will receive the prize from IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno at a special event in the Bank’s headquarters in Washington, DC. The winners are:

An IDB-financed project will help the region improve and harmonize information on citizen security CALI, Colombia – Fifteen countries in Latin America and the Caribbean today confirmed their participation in a path breaking project to unify and share indicators on crime and violence at a citizen security conference held in this city. In addition, Bolivia, Guatemala and Panama expressed their intention to join the regional initiative.

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) (rated Moody’s: Aaa / S&P: AAA) and Daiwa Securities Group announce an issuance of the Poverty Reduction Bonds (the “Bonds”) to support poverty alleviation and improve living conditions of new generations in Latin America and the Caribbean. These Bonds are IDB’s first impact investment bonds of 2011 and they will be offered in Japan. The IDB’s Poverty Reduction Bonds provide an opportunity to Japanese retail investors to contribute to poverty reduction in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The new Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (ICIM) started operations as part of the Inter-American Development Bank’s efforts to increase the transparency, accountability and effectiveness of its operations. The Board of Executive Directors declared that the ICIM is effective as of September 9, 2010. The ICIM can now address complaints filed by individuals or groups who feel affected by projects financed by the IDB.
