IDB launches 2017 Call for Proposals to promote Regional Public Goods in Latin America and the Caribbean

The deadline for accepting proposals is April 26th, 2017 The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) launched the 2017 Call for Proposals of the Initiative for the Promotion of Regional Public Goods in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), which supports projects aimed at resolving shared challenges and seizing opportunities for development through regional cooperation among at least three countries. Since 2004, the RPG Initiative has financed 140 projects, investing a total of more than US$103 million.

IDB to help Haiti recover from Hurricane Sandy

Support for repairing damaged infrastructure, reactivating agriculture The Inter-American Development will provide Haiti’s government financial aid to start recovering from damage caused by the deadly rains and floods triggered by Hurricane Sandy. Haitian authorities met with IDB officials last week in Port-au-Prince and agreed to focus the assistance on rebuilding transport infrastructure, revitalizing agriculture and reinforcing river banks to mitigate flooding.

IDB President Moreno to visit Haiti, May 14-15

Inter-American Development Bank President Luis Alberto Moreno will visit Port-au-Prince May 14-15 to hold talks with Haitian authorities about the IDB’s long-term support for Haiti’s reconstruction.
