Honduras to Host Important Event on Public Integrity in Latin America and Caribbean

On December 1 and 2, 2022, Tegucigalpa will host a major event on public integrity in Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Government of Honduras.

IDB launches 2017 Call for Proposals to promote Regional Public Goods in Latin America and the Caribbean

The deadline for accepting proposals is April 26th, 2017 The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) launched the 2017 Call for Proposals of the Initiative for the Promotion of Regional Public Goods in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), which supports projects aimed at resolving shared challenges and seizing opportunities for development through regional cooperation among at least three countries. Since 2004, the RPG Initiative has financed 140 projects, investing a total of more than US$103 million.

IDB helps promote conservation and provide better housing conditions for more than 8,000 families, many of them living in high-risk hillsides in Serra do Mar A $470 million project backed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo is seeking to protect what is left of the Atlantic forest while ensuring better livelihoods for the local communities. One of the key components of the project is to move residents to safer areas.

Inter-American Development Bank President Luis Alberto Moreno made the following announcement to IDB staff today I would like to inform you that Mr. Daniel Zelikow has tendered his resignation from his position as Executive Vice President of the Bank and informed the Board of Executive Directors in that regard today. I have asked Julie T. Katzman to serve as interim Executive Vice President while we work to fill the position on a permanent basis. Ms. Katzman will continue to fulfill her duties as General Manager of the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF).
IDB invites feedback on new project impact mechanism for communities

The Inter-American Development Bank today unveiled its new proposed Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (ICIM)—the process through which affected communities can voice concerns about an IDB project. The ICIM is a draft proposal, which is open to public consultation for civil society groups and other actors to express their suggestions and provide feedback. The idea is to enhance and speed up the investigation process of external allegations.
