IDB launches 2017 Call for Proposals to promote Regional Public Goods in Latin America and the Caribbean

The deadline for accepting proposals is April 26th, 2017 The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) launched the 2017 Call for Proposals of the Initiative for the Promotion of Regional Public Goods in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), which supports projects aimed at resolving shared challenges and seizing opportunities for development through regional cooperation among at least three countries. Since 2004, the RPG Initiative has financed 140 projects, investing a total of more than US$103 million.

IDB study examines potential for Brazil-Colombia integration

Mesoamerica renews push towards integration

The presidents of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Mexico, Colombia and the Dominican Republic will meet tomorrow, Oct. 26, in Cartagena, Colombia at the XII Summit of the Tuxtla Mechanism for Dialogue and Coordination. The heads of state will be informed of the progress made by the Mesoamerica Project in terms of regional integration and will decide further courses of action.

Central America's integration is in full swing

IDB issues first TFFP guarantees in Jamaica for First Global Bank, Ltd.

The Structured and Corporate Finance Department of the IDB announced today the closing of its first transactions in Jamaica with First Global Bank, Ltd. under the IDB’s Trade Finance Facilitation Program (TFFP).   Through the support of its Trade Finance Facilitation Program, the IDB is helping First Global Bank in expanding its trade finance activities by broadening the Jamaican bank's access to additional sources of trade financing with International Banks.
