At the request of the Government of The Bahamas, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved a non-reimbursable technical co-operation entitled ‘Strengthening Intuitional Capacity of the office of the Prime Minister’, for an amount of up to four hundred and fifty thousand dollars (US$450,000).

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) signed today a US$20 million for a Global Loan Program with the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) for projects in the four IDA-eligible Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) member countries. This loan was approved yesterday by the CDB’s board.

Financing from the Japan Special Fund at the IDB NASSAU, Bahamas - The Bahamas Minister of State, Ministry of Finance, the Honourable Zhivargo Laing, and the Inter-American Development Bank Representative, Astrid Wynter, today signed a US$612,000 technical cooperation grant to support strengthening the country’s fiscal policy. These resources were provided by the Japan Special Fund at the IDB and the Ambassador of Japan to The Bahamas, His Excellency Hiroshi Yamaguchi, signed the documents as witness of honor.
