Hace un par de semanas mi hija mayor se presentó el sábado en casa con un par de amigas. Nada más llegar, me pidió la tableta. Por supuesto, como padre responsable que soy, mi primera reacción fue preguntarle para qué la querían. Su respuesta me dejó sorprendido; me apresuré a responder que por supuesto que sí. Las tres tenían que hacer un video para su clase de español en el que explicaban una receta que luego cocinaban juntas. Empezaron elaborando un guion, se repartieron los papeles, y se pusieron manos a la obra. Tomaban turnos entre filmar, explicar y elaborar la receta.

A couple of weeks ago my oldest daughter showed up at home with a couple of friends on Saturday. Upon arrival, he asked me for the tablet. Of course, as the responsible father that I am, my first reaction was to ask her why they wanted it. Her answer surprised me; I quickly replied that of course she could use it.The three of them had to make a video for their Spanish class in which they explained a recipe that they had to cook together. They started by making a script, the papers were distributed, and they got down to work. They took turns filming, explaining and making the recipe.

When Jeison Aristizábal was born, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The doctors told his parents that there was little hope for him and that at best he would become a shoe shiner. Today, more than 33 years later Jeison leads a foundation that helps children with disabilities.
