Diego Aycinena is an experimental and behavioral economist. He has been a professor of economics at Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia, and an associate researcher at the Chapman University Economic Science Institute. His academic research has been published in scholarly journals including the Review of Economics and Statistics, Experimental Economics, Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, and others.
He has consulted for the World Bank, the William Davidson Institute, the Municipality of Guatemala, the National Electric Power Commission and the National Stock Exchange in Guatemala, the National Planning Department (DNP) in Bogotá, Arlington Economics, and others.
Dr. Aycinena holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University. He currently serves as Alternate Executive Director for Central America and Belize at the Inter-American Development Bank.
