Support for institutional strengthening and infrastructure for trade to seize productive opportunities in Mexico
The main objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to identify Mexico's potential (competitiveness factors and challenges) to expand its participation in strategic global value chains (GVCs), particularly semiconductors, medical supplies (medical devices and pharmaceuticals), critical minerals for the energy transition, among others. In addition, specific interventions (studies, action plans and pilots) are planned to accelerate the development of productive opportunities in the South-Southeast (SSE) region of Mexico by virtue of the public investment that the federal government has allocated to generate greater economic integration of this subregion into the Mexican and global economy, as well as the country's privileged/strategic position in the context of the relocation of GVCs.
