The objective of the project is to initiate a new survey round in the LAC to update available information on agricultural R&D investments and institutional developments, expand the data collection to other countries in the region, and make the information available through the Agricultural Science and Technology Indicators (ASTI) website (www.asti.cgiar.org) and various publications. The potential direct beneficiaries of the project are the agricultural R&D agencies and policy makers at the national, regional, and international levels. Through the project they will be in a position to make better-informed decisions regarding the organization and management of agricultural research.
