The objective of this technical cooperation is to contribute to closing the economic gender gap through the implementation of the Gender Parity Initiative (IPG) and its articulation with activities to recover, create and improve the quality of employment with a focus on gender within the Employment Action Framework with a Gender Approach (MAEG). The specific objectives are: (i) to support the design and implementation of IPG action plans in the countries, taking into account the new challenges created by COVID-19; (ii) promote and support coordination between the IPG's action plans and the Bank's investments aimed at generating, transforming, and improving the quality of female employment in accordance with the MAEG; (iii) support the transition of the IPG towards models that allow the sustainability of the actions promoted and encourage the exchange of knowledge with countries interested in the regional IPG methodology and (iv) develop tools and systematize interventions to promote the women's leadership in the public and private sector.
