To support the borrowing member countries of the Bank in their efforts to strengthen national systems of government control, in order to contribute to the improvement of efficiency, effectiveness and transparency in the management of public policies and the provision of services to the citizens. This objective will be achieved based on two specific objectives: (i) improve the capacities of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) to carry out new auditing practices and the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for these ; and (ii) strengthen the organizational, functional and operational design of internal control.
