Improvement of Food Safety Services for Primary Production and Processing and Feed in Peru

The general objective of the project is to contribute to improving the percentage of agricultural foods that comply with the safety standards established in the national regulations of Peru. The specific objectives are: (i) To improve SENASA's risk management capacity in surveillance and sanitary control of primary agricultural food and feedstuffs; (ii) To increase coverage and access to risk communication in agrifood safety with a focus on Behavioral Economics; and (iii) To promote the adoption of the official voluntary standard Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) developed by SENASA.
