The objective is to support the development and implementation of an institutional strengthening strategy to improve competitiveness in Ecuador, through the production of key inputs to lay the institutional foundations and the main technical tools to implement the strategy that would improve the country's competitiveness. This will be achieved through support in the definition of the competitiveness agenda in the country and the identification of the main institutional barriers to economic activity in the country and its corrective measures. To this end, the following activities will be financed: (i) support from experts and studies that contribute to the definition and implementation of the country's competitiveness agenda; (ii) review of the regulatory policy to be carried out by the Regulatory Policy Division of the OECD; (iii) studies aimed at starting the BIM Ecuador strategy; and (iv) conducting exchanges of experiences and workshops on competitiveness, regulatory improvement and to promote public-private articulation.
