The general objective of the project is to promote the recovery of metropolitan railways, contributing to the improvement of public transport services in the Metropolitan Region of Buenos Aires (RMBA) and the quality of life of the population, through the renewal and electrification of the passenger rail service of the Plaza Constitución - La Plata branch of the Roca Railway, increasing the modal share of this railway branch in the passenger transport of the Buenos Aires - La Plata corridor. The specific objectives are: (i) reduce travel times; (ii) reduce accident levels; (iii) improve the reliability and comfort of the service; and (iv) reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from the railway branch.
