RG-T3415 : Development of the Natural Capital Lab

To support the sustainable use of Natural Capital, the IDB Group has launched the Natural Capital Lab with the vision of promoting innovative solutions to efficiently conserve and restore natural capital in LAC by translating environmental issues into cost/benefit opportunities and treating nature as an asset, in a cross-sectoral approach. The Natural Capital Lab is a joint venture of the IDB's Climate Change and Sustainability Division with the IDB Lab. This TC will support CSD in the development of the Natural Capital Lab. It will enable the Lab to generate knowledge and capacity to support the deployment of Natural Capital Lab resources committed by the governments of France and the UK. Specifically, it will support identification and development of innovative tools and financing models to value and protect the region's natural capital, and systematize and transmit those products to the region's countries through workshops, and in projects developed by the Natural Capital Lab with IDB Group departments.
