RG-T2420 : Greenhouse Gas Inventory for Exporting Companies in Central America

The TCs objective is to align the Central American region in a common effort to promote exports with a reduced or neutral carbon footprint. Specific objectives include: 1) generate a regional policy framework that is recognized by the different markets; 2) define GHG emission factors for specific export sectors; 3) develop training and outreach programs that include online teaching tools on these topics addressed to export promotion agencies and business sectors; and 4) technical support to a limited amount of exporting SMEs regarding their greenhouse gas inventory processes, emission reductions and, if feasible, carbon neutral verification. These experiences are to be documented and shared at a regional level.
