HA-G1023 : Sustainable Management Upper Watersheds South Western Haiti-Macaya National Park

Project Status: Implementation

The Project Objective is to contain the rapid environmental degradationin the upper watershed of the south western part of Haiti through the integration of sustainable land and forest management practices at the watershed level. The Project seeks to support reforestation and implementation of a carbon stock and sequestration monitoring system to enhance the understanding of impacts on carbon sequestration and diminished emissions attributable to changes in land use systems and vegetation/forest cover.
