EC-L1281 : Housing solutions for poor and vulnerable population
Project Status: Preparation
The general objectives of CCLIP are: (i) to increase access to affordable, sustainable and universally accessible housing for Ecuadorian households in housing deficit and in a situation of poverty or vulnerability; and (ii) to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Ecuador to generate and implement long-term housing policies. The specific objectives of the second operation are: (i) expand access to housing for the low-income and vulnerable population in quantitative deficit, prioritizing poor and vulnerable households headed by women, people with disabilities, peoples and nationalities with considerations of climate change and socio-cultural adaptation; (ii) improve the quality of existing housing for the poor and vulnerable population in qualitative deficit, prioritizing vulnerable households headed by women, people with disabilities, peoples and nationalities and migrant population; and (iii) strengthen the institutional capacity of MIDUVI and associated housing agencies, with special attention to strengthening information systems, implementation of cross-cutting issues and design of new financing and subsidy products. Each component is aligned with a specific objective respectively.
